Turkish and Indian businesspeople gathered at the Indian – Turkish Night reception held by Aksan Law Firm. J.P. Singh, the Consul General of India in Istanbul and Şekib Avdagiç, the President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce were among those attending the night.
Muhammet Aksan, the Founding Partner of Aksan Law Firm mentioned in his opening speech that he is appreciated to include India today to the path that Aksan started with Japan 10 years ago for the development of both commercial and cultural relations between Asia-Pacific Region and Turkey.
Şekib Avdagiç, President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce drew attention to the number of Indian companies which are actively trading in Turkey, especially in Istanbul, and mentioned that they have good relations with Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, too. Mr. Avdagiç also appreciated for such initiative undertaken by Aksan to evaluate the potential of India.
J.P. Singh, Consul General of India in Istanbul also expressed his best wishes to Aksan Law Firm for such initiative, which will contribute greatly to the development of the relations between Turkey and India. Then, he also drew attention to the existing Indian companies in Turkey as Mr. Avdagiç mentioned in his speech. He added that they will continue to work both for the growth of the existing potential volume and for the development of trade and cultural ties between the two countries. J.P. Singh also thanked Aksan for giving the name of Mumbai to one of the meeting rooms and furnishing the room with Indian motifs.
